“We are at an important moment. Climate change is posing significant risks to the financial system. Detailed reports have been published. Eloquent words have been spoken. It is time to convert those words into action.”

Michael J. Hsu, Acting Comptroller of the Currency, November 2021 Global financial regulators have made clear their plans to expand the use of climate stress tests resulting in increasing expectations from financial institutions. Firms that do this right will gain insights into their climate-related exposures and be better prepared to thrive in a changing world.

This half-day workshop will present invaluable insights and facilitate practical discussions for building climate change stress testing frameworks, quantifying the risks and effectively integrating climate risk stress testing processes into business decision-making. Through insights from Metro Bank and Kamakura, attendees will:

  • Explore how to develop an effective climate risk stress testing framework
  • Review suggested approaches, key challenges faced, and climate risk scenario analysis
